Ten Steps to Planning a Corporate Snowmobile Adventure
January 2, 2026“It’s not the destination, it’s the journey.” as Emerson phrased it. At Arluk Adventures, this boils down to creating world-class memorable adventures.
Now don’t get us wrong…there are some great destinations, in fact, world-class and the Arluk team have created some Arluk Routes to put you and your team on the goods. And by ‘goods’, we mean key destinations/locations where you’ll be getting those iconic pictures that will be shared for years. But first, your journey to find the Arluk Village.

As you can see from the map, you’ll travel the TCH. If headed west, you’ll find Route 420 approximately 45 KM East of Deer Lake. Route 420 will see you travel for 24 KM and then you’ll find the turn off to Taylor’s Brook Road. You’ll see the road signs on the left side of the road where you’ll turn. The Arluk Village is a short 2 KM drive in the plowed access road. All Arluk Guest will enjoy parking at the Arluk Village.
At this point of your arrival, this is where the Arluk Adventures team kick into gear. From your arrival meet & greet, orientation to the Arluk Village, your journey has only begun. For some guest that have driven longer distances and are staying at one of the remote lodges, there’s the Arluk Layover offering. What do we mean by this you might be asking? You have the option to rest up at one of the Arluk Chalets there at the Arluk Village. Re-energize and hit the trails in the morning. While you’re enjoying your breakfast, the Arluk team will prepare your gear for the transport into your remote lodge. This is called the portage services and you don’t have to worry about transporting anything – just focus on the fun.

For this season, Arluk Adventures guests will have the option to stay at the well appointed Arluk Chalets that have drive up access and you’re right there in the Arluk Village. There will eventually be six of these Chalets with two being available for guest for mid February (2026).
The remote lodges are all unique and their locations are in the best terrain for your adventure.

Main River Lodge – This lodge has been enjoyed by many over the years and it’s now available for group bookings. With full hospitality; meals and snacks, you’ll enjoy the great meals because your big adventures will require full bellies. Main River Lodge is the closest lodge to Gros Morne National Park. When all others have to head out of the backcountry, you have the pleasure of simply heading to your warm and comfortable lodge. The journey to reach Main River Lodge from the Arluk Village is approximately 55 KM. Your guide will bring you on this initial journey and include a few stops along the way to ensure all is well.

Caribou Lake Lodge – This well established and recently renovated lodge is located at Caribou Lake. The lodge can host nine guest and offers full hospitality. This lodge is approximately 45 KM from the Arluk Village and ideally situated for groups interested in accessing all the main destinations but also near the drainage ride zones of the Main River system.

High Pond Lodge – this newly constructed lodge is a balance of comfort and modern. The second level has four large bedrooms, each with ensuites and able to accommodate eight guest with double occupancy. The main floor is open and comfortable and every window at High Pond Lodge has an incredible view. High Pond is a slightly longer journey into the backcountry at approximately 75 kM from Arluk Village. Don’t worry about gas, as the Arluk team have supplies at the Lodges for guest refills.
Let’s consider this part 1 of the journey…getting to the Arluk Village and on to your Remote Lodge. From here, we’ll jump into some pieces on the particular destinations like the iconic Western Brook Gorge, Bakers Brook Gorge and Parsons Pond Gorge.
